MANASREH FAMILY

The Manasreh family is composed of many sub-families and believed to arrive from the Arabian Peninsula to the city of Bani Na’im, 4.0 miles east of Hebron, Palestine. The city of Bani Na’im is built on an ancient Roman town known as Kufr- Brusha. This name is changed to Kufr Breik during the early arrival of Muslims to Palestine. The town was them named Bani Na’m after Na’im Aldary who met the prophet and became a Muslim. Many members of the Manasreh family migrate to other town in Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and the Arabian Gulf regions. The famous leader Musa Ibn Naseer was born in Bani Na’im. He was responsible for concurring North Africa and sending Tariq Ibn Ziad to open Spain (Andalus). It is believed that several Manasreh families were settled in Algeria as well. The following is a list of towns in Palestine that are (were) inhabited by Manasreh families.

City of Dair Dabuan/Palestine: An image of part of the city where the inhabitants are mostly from the Manasreh family.

Village of Al-Dawayemeh/Palestine: A view of the land of Al-Dawayemeh village, which was occupied in 1948. The town was destroyed and many the inhabitants were slaughtered. Many of the inhabitants were from the Manasreh family.

City of Al-Abasiah (1914)/Palestine: An image is taking for Al-Abasia from the direction of the eastern Mediterranean coast. Occupied in 1948 and completely destroyed. The Manasreh family was among the largest families in this town. Most of them were expelled as refugees in the neighboring countries.

Village of Wadi-Fuqueen/Palestine: This town is in Bethlehem County and most of the inhabitants are from the Manasreh family.

Village of Ein Ghazal/Palestine: The remnant of the village of En Ghazal, which was occupied and completely destroyed in 1948. Most the inhabitants were slaughtered or expelled. It should be noted that more than half of the population were from the Manasreh family.

Street of Al-Manasreh in Cairo/Egypt: The Street of Al-Manasreh in the Bab-Alkhalq neighborhood, Cairo, Egypt, attracts many local and tourist shoppers due to the famous and affordable household goods. The shops are closely tight on both sides and it is always crowded with shoppers (poor and rich). One merchant (Ahmed Ibrahim) stated that Al-Manasreh street is considered famous among many shopping centers and its reputation goes back over 100 years due to the affordable prices of items made locally. Middle class Egyptians are particularly attracted to Al-Manasreh Street due the elegance and quality variation of the merchandise.
